I have taken Birla Sun Life ULIP plan in 2008 January. My yearly premium is 45 thousand and after one year it was monthly premium of approx. 4500rs per month. I have paid approx. 2 Lakhs till date. And the fund value for my amount is 1 Lakh 30 thousand. When I have taken the policy the sensex was around 17K. After that, it went down to 12K and then again came back to 17K. But, still my fund value remains less than the amount I paid. First thing - I don’t know whether they kept my fund, it never came up, they have the worst portfolio. Secondly - the charges maintenance charge, service charge and other nonsense charges.
I suggest to you all. Please don’t go with this insurance company. It is totally fraud. A BIG NO. Specially Citibank account holders - Please don’t encourage your service advisers, say no to them whenever they come up with newer plans.
