I have been to Imagica twice now, both times on office picnics and during the peak summer season. Let me tell you how I feel about it:
The place is a huge huge one - many football grounds, and mostly all open, its not exactly fun to visit during peak summers. Suggestion - take the indoor games during mid-afternoon.
The crowd there is relatively good - remember the ticket prices are high, so it is either school groups, or families wanting to spend quality time
The staff is good - they are friendly, dont just act it - most of them anyway
The basic facilities are there - drinking water, good clean washrooms, food stalls and 3/4 restaurants - one is American food, one is African, one is local. I liked the African for non-veg.
The rides are good, maybe fewer than Esselworld, but still good - and there are long queues on weekends
The Indoor rides are what actually make it a theme park - story telling, imagination, a 3D circular dome where they show a movie, the surprise attacks in the haveli - everything. But they will appeal mostly to the kids in 5-12 age group.
The entire design and set up of the place - beautiful, fairy tale like.
There are impromptu dance shows, games conducted by the staff - keep everyone interested
I dont remember the names of the rides, butDiscovery of India where you get an aerial view of the important tourist destinations of India - is a rare documentary, must watch.
Overall, if you have children in the 5-12 age group with you, this visit would be worth it.
