I had applied for Rising Star Plan via proposal number 120313484962 on 24th Mar 2012 and got an SMS from Insurer on 27th Mar 2012 saying more information is required. The next day I got a call from Kamaal Baig saying that my blood samples and some reports are required for policy issue. Asking the reason i, was told that there was already a Term plan in my name which I told that is not mine. They had my name, my date of birth and my my mobile number all matched up with some other person and they claimed that it is my policy. Because of some goof up at the data entry points the policy got delayed and on repeated reminders nobody has responded till date. I want my money back as I have lost trust in Aegon Religare. Insurance is a long term association and now that things have been goofed up in the starting only how do I believe the insurer to have a healthy relationship in the future.
They have issued a policy in a jiffy now with my name being stated incorrect as "Nitin Ravinder Gupta" while my name is "Nitin Gupta", all my documentary proofs submitted to the insurer also prove that. The form was modified by the agent and he had modified my name adding the middle name, but the verification documents state my correct name as "Nitin Gupta". On what basis the policy was issued in wrong name. Now on talking with the customer care they are asking again to send the same verification document again asking me the correct name which was already there in my previous submissions. My ask here is to please intervene and get my amount refunded by canceling my policy as they are making a fool of the customer. The trust is totally lost here as these people would give again troubles in case of any unforeseen incidents.
Now these people are resorting for freelook return of the policy so that they can deduct charges on the amount or keep the money for some more time for their interest.
They have not even sent me policy document and they are asking for returning the policy document with filled in freelook form.What kind of processes and malpractice are being followed here, to hide the mistakes done by the people employed by the company they are harassing and penalizing the customer and not refunding the money.
