LHR-DUB-LHR. Took the first flight out from LHR in the morning. No check-in queues and used fast pass (self-service check-in). The machine issued me the boarding pass for LHR-DUB and also my return boarding pass from DUB-LHR. That meant I didn’t have to queue at DUB to checkin, in the evening. Unlike BMI, the self-service check in allows you to check in with just the PNR so it is quicker than other airlines. The flight from LHR was an A321 - green cloth seats with decorative writing script all over them. It was a bit cramped, but cabin was clean. When arriving at DUB for my return flight, no check-in queues. The A320 had more space between the seats (or it felt like it), compared to the A321. Very comfortable leather seats and clean. I think this must have been one of the newer aircraft. All flights on time! I travelled on a Saturday and there were lots of spare seats. I usually fly BMI, but if I can get an A320 instead with EI, I would rather take EI. Altogether the flight to Dublin cost approximately £120 with tax. I know it can be bought for cheaper in advance but it was a last minute booking.
