I have recently shifted from Gurgaon to Noida. I enquired quotes from certain packers & movers including Agarwal Packers & Movers and finally tied-up with them since they assured me that they will do the packing and unpacking on the same day and I actually paid high rates for this(as compared to the other service providers which were offering me low shifting charges):
The packing was done on time. However, when their truck reached at my Noida destination around 3 pm, labour didn’t show up. I enquired about this and was told that labor was reached well before time and since the truck could not reach there, they moved to other location. I was shocked.
It was their truck and if traveling from GGN to Noida takes at least 1.5 hours, am I the one responsible for it? I also got to know that when truck moved from GGN, the concerned person ordered the labour to reach my Noida location. Was their officers are such a big fools that they don’t know how much time it generally takes from GGN to Noida. And by no stretch of imagination, I was my fault.
I called-up their GGN branch, Noida Branch, Delhi Branch, Customer care, their area manager, their marketing executive everyone I could but was in vein. They were all helpless and showed their inability to do anything. After some time, they stopped picking-up my calls.
Nobody turned-up till 9 pm. I have a daughter who is just 2 years old. We had put everything like gas, utensils, her milk bottle everything in the truck as we were assured that everything would not unloaded in just a few hours. It was horrifying. After much requests, their labour came around 9.30 pm but it was of no use to me as my society doesn’t allow labour to enter the society post 6.30 pm. I had told them in advace that the unpacking has to be done before 6.30 pm.
The labour came next day around 1 pm and then unpacking was done. It was really a pathetic and horrifying experience for me as my family(including my parents who are old aged and already suffering from various health problems) had to sleep over the floor without even a blanket as everything was in the truck.
I was so pissed off that I immediately called up my bank and stopped the payments against the cheque issued to them. Even then no body paid any heed to this. After one week, I got a call from them that my cheque has been dishonoured and they are going to sue me for this. I told them it has been stopped and before doing this, I had messaged their marketing executive with whom I was dealing about this. I told them to do whatever they can and also warned them that I will go to the consumer court for this. Finally, they backed off and apologized to me for all the inconvenience.
The crux of the matter is that their services are really poor and I request you to engage with them cautiously. The best approach is that you don’t pay them in cash(they will definitely request their payment in advance and won’t accept cheque) but you have to force them for this so that they fear that customer will stop their payments.
