I had booked Agarwal Packers and Movers for relocation of household goods and my car from Delhi to Bangalore. I had read their advertisments in newspapers as well as on TV, and was under the impression that they are the best in the industry, and that is why they were more expensive than the rest of the players.
To begin with, I called them and was happy to see that their team was at my place for giving me a quote the very next day. We booked them at a cost that was at least 25% higher than the quotes made by their competitors. The goods were packed at my home. These also included electronic items like a flat panel TV and an audio system. They also took the car with them and promised that they would deliver the goods and the car at my Bangalore address within 10 days.
Sure enough, I received the goods and the car in 10 days. But I was shocked to find out that they my audio system was completely pressed from the top and the CD tray was broken and completely destroyed. Of course, we did not check this at the time of taking the delivery as there were a lot of items and the delivery boys were as usual making a lot of fuss that they have to do other deliveries also and so we should sign the delivery slip and let them go as fast as possible.
Next came the car. They deliberately delivered it after dark(7 PM) and in a completely dusty condition so that we could not see what they had done to it. It is only on the next day that we found out that there were multiple dents at the top of the car. Plus, there were multiple scratches on the windscreen.
We called them the following day to complain about the way they had handled our items, but they refused to even listen to us saying that we should not have taken the delivery of these goods if they were damaged. This, despite the fact that we had paid for insurance of these items during transit.

Guys, please be aware of these fraudsters. They claim to be the No. 1, but I honestly think that it is better to go with some cheaper options. After all, I could not save myself from the financial loss despite paying more to the so-called No.1s(including for insurance of my goods).
