I feel wronged, cheated and lied to by Agarwal Packers and Movers for its handling of my consignment GCCOMB181900387:
• APML’s Coimbatore sales executive Mr Dinesh Kumar visited us before our move from Coimbatore to Gandhinagar repeatedly lied to us:(1) He assured me that our goods would be transported in containers such as those shown on your website and brochure; nothing of the sort happened and an ordinary truck(not of Agarwal Packers) was hired, with not even a cleaner on board; much damage to our goods was caused because of this.(2) He promised that in the event I was not ready to get the consignment unpacked on delivery, Rs 5, 000 to 6, 000/- would be refunded to me; as my flat was no ready on the day of delivery, May 12, I asked for delivery without unpacking — now Mr Dinesh Kumar flatly denies his promise as regards the refund.
• Mr Ishwar Lamba, head of APML’s Coimbatore office, also made repeated assurances on the phone regarding the above refund as well as the processing of my insurance claim. He has never kept any of them, as will be clear from the emails below. He is a master of evasion and today also flatly denies his assurances.
• APML’s all-India delivery in-charge Mr Vijay Dixit constantly promised to get back to me after a few days but never did so. Only today, after I called him for the fifth or sixth time, did he finally put me in contact with APML’s Ahmedabad office, which he should have done the very first time I spoke to him. He has been thoroughly unhelpful; his only effort was to bring in irrelevant details to get rid of me.
APML claims to be “An ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 39001:2012 Certified Company” but follows none of the required norms. In particular:
• The single-driver lorry APML misleadingly subcontracted my consignment to did not follow basic safety rules and did not conform to ISO 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety Management Systems.
• APML’s Customer Care is virtually non-existent, against all ISO 9001 norms. My many calls to it resulted only in a gentleman giving me some other number or contact; the Customer Care executive never registered my complaint or got back to me.
• APML’s online tracking system is completely fake; I checked several times right up to the day of delivery, and all it ever said was “on the way”.
I have lost all hope of fair treatment from APML and now have to contemplate other measures. Its reputation for reliability and efficacy is completely undeserved. I would advise anyone contemplating a shifting to look for better companies.
