I have recently shifted from Mumbai to Kolkata and we chose to move our stuff though movers and packers. We chose Agrawal over others for lower quote amount and for the fact that we had always that they are the best in the industry. But its been over 20 days and we are still struggling to get our stuff from them.
We had asked them to send it on the 4th of May and today is the 12th of May. Everyday they come up with a new issue- one day they don’t have labourer, other day godwon is closed, some day there is some rally on the road or just something else.
First 2 days they had some internal issue between the Mumbai and Kolkata office. Later we found out that the Kolkata office is an agency and these guys are not even the original Agarwal Movers. The original one closed down ages ago and these guys just took up the name and running their business.
Now to top it all on the 8th, the Kolkata guy called up and said since I had to keep your stuff for so many extra days you will have to pay for the godwon charges and labour cost. Imagine our plight- we are already paying for the hotel because our stuff is stuck with them and now they are charging us for their own mistake.
They screamed at us when we tell them these things. WHAT A PATHETIC SERVICE! We are in such a sorry state since all our household goods, our bike and car is stuck with them and we are running behind them.
Please beware and inform everyone you know so no one gets cheated like this again. Please spread the word so no one goes through these hassles again!
