Reg: Movement of my House Hold Goods vide GC No.4203024 dtd 24-3-12 from Chennai to Gurgaon.


Dear Sir,


This is is to bring to your notice, the absolutely unacceptable and flabbergasting experience I had with M/s. DRS Agarwal Packers & Movers, while I shifted my household goods last month(March 2012) from Chennai to Gurgaon. I do not want to write long essays, but still need to communicate my end-to-end experience. You should know how your indifferent employees are bringing bad name to your company.




  1. I was committed a Portable Home(32 Feet) by your sales person Ajit Singh, but the vehicle that was sent a 3rd party carrier(vehicle did not belong to Agarwal Packers at all.I paid for credibility of AGARWAL PACKERS, and not for some unknown truck wala to carry my goods)




2.  I was told by that all Agarwal Packers vehicles are GPS enabled and that I would get regular updates as to where the truck had reached. Obviously, when you are sending a 3rd party truck.tracking was not possible.




  1. At Chennai, I was committed that the truck would reach my home for loading of goods latest by 10:30 PM, after heavy vehicle entry opens and that would leave my premises latest by 12:30 AM. The truck actually reached only at 2 AM, that too after several reminders to your incharge who sends the vehicles. Loading took another 2-3 hours and by the time the truck left it was almost 5 AM. With no place to sleep, my wife and children spent the entire night just waiting on the street for the truck to come, get loaded and leave.




  2. Labour deployed for packing and loading has stole several of my small small house hold items such as battery charger, plastic utensils, show pieces etc. It is not always possible to stand on the head of every worker to watch if they are not stealing anything. Moreover, flicking stuff while packing is the last thing I would expect from Agarwal Packers!




  3. Labour came without any tools for nailing in delicate items into crates. They just had a pair of pliers with them, which was used hammering the nails!




  4. Labour demanded tips for packing, loading(at Chennai) and unloading(at Gurgaon). I had to shell out Rs.1500 at Chennai and Rs.1000/- at Gurgaon. You may say that I should not have paid, but then it is very difficult to deal with labour when they get stubborn and refuse to leave!(This was apart from 2 lunches and 1 dinner that I bought for the labour from market for each of the 5 labourers!) Point is, that they should neither demand nor expect tips. When I am paying almost a Lakh of rupees to Agarwal Packers, why should I pay workers separately?




  5. I was promised one night of stay at Ginger Hotel. I requested(thru mail & on phone) for a night at Chennai. After repeated reminders, your team booked me at Ginger Manesar(Gurgaon)! By the time they mad me another booking at Chennai, it was too late as I had made alternate arrangements at my own cost.




  6. At the destination end.my experience was even worse. There were damages - many crockery items and glass utensils, my wooden couch(diwan), Gas Stove(Choolah), Dining Table Base were all damaged. This was reported in writing, by mail, by phone to all - Claims Department, Delhi Office, Chennai Office, the labour who unloaded. I was told that a surveyor would come, assess the damages and I would get my claim. Its been almost 4 weeks now.no one has turned up even to survey.leave alone the chance of me getting any compensation for my losses! Note that I had insured my goods for Rs. 4 Lakhs and paid an extra amount of Rs. 12, 000/- just for insurance! And you do not even bother to look back after collecting your payment.this is din-dahade cheating!






9. I was assured that all my furniture would be unpacked and re-assembled at the destination(Gurgaon). My bed and TV Cabinet require alen keys to be assembled. I was promised by your Delhi office and the labour who unloaded that a carpenter would come the next day to fix up the furniture items. No one turned up after your guys collected the payment. Repeated phone calls and emails had no effect. I had to call carpenters from outside who charged my Rs. 800/- to do the needful.




  1. The bill given to me seems to be a nakli  (fictitious) one! How can there by no service tax charged.I intend to send the copy of the bill received by me to service tax authorities to get it verified.




  2. You have email ids, but none of your staff responds to emails! Please refer this mail trail below. This is only a part of the communications I had with your office.I have more mails that I sent to your offices in Chennai & Gurgaon.which were never responded. Nothing moves without multiple reminders.I am unable to fathom as to how you got your ISO 9000!






Overall an extremely disappointing experience from the so called big brand called "Agarwal Packers".very unprofessional and very unethical!
