I had engaged original & famed Agarwal Packers & Movers of DRS Group to shift my household goods from Hyderabad to Pune vide GC No 4269056 on 02.06.2012. The goods reached Pune on 05.06.2012. I have never faced such poor service in my entire life. The deficiencies were as follows:
The truck was not accompanied by any laborer. After a wait of 3 (three) hours at our doorstep, only 1 (one) laborer turned up to unload the goods.
My contract with them was end to end i.e. packing - loading - unloading- unpacking & installation. Their person accompanying the goods (supervisor) refused to unpack and install the goods. The excuse was given that there was no carpenter. This person also said that it was not his responsibility to unpack and install the goods and we would have to speak to the local representative of theirs at Pune. After spending Rs 300/- on my mobile bill I got an assurance that the carpenter would come on the next day and install the same.
Their person literally coerced us into shelling Rs 200/- in the name of Octroi without producing any receipt.
The tray glass of my refrigerator was kept inside the refrigerator itself and was broken. So much for their competency. Even the most ordinary of packers knows that this is a sure way to break the glass.
After paying a premium rate, I was forced to follow up with labourers, carpenters to ensure service. I advice everyone not to engage these fraudsters and search for other options and local packers who can provide better service than these chimpanzees who know only how to advertise.
Their website does not even have a complaints/grievance handling number or mail ID. That itself shows they care two hoots about customer service.
