I recently contacted Agarwal Packers (DRS group) in Cochin for moving my household goods from Cochin to Bangalore. Before engaging them, I had sent them a detailed list of the goods to be transported and they had confirmed to me that all the items would be insured. They collected the insurance premium in full for all of the goods.
At the time of delivery in Bangalore, a ceramic elephant (large size) and the glass of one of my large showcases was broke. When I reported this to their Bangalore office, a lady by the name of Bhanu (who was very rude) stated that they cannot pay for the damages as ceramic items, glassware and fragile items are not covered under insurance. I found this to be ridiculous as I had clearly stated the list of items to be transported and they had collected the insurance premiums for the same. They clearly had no issues COLLECTING the premiums for the items but have major issues paying when the damages were reported. I also contacted the Cochin offices of Agarwal and the Asst. General Manager - Gigy Idiculla is not answering the calls or calling back.
From the looks of it, DRS is as bad os the other agarwal group!!!Please be careful with these people too!!
