Rarely somebody chooses Lakshadweep as holiday destination, but I was lucky to visit the natural splendour in the country of God’s own, Agatti Island Beach Resort last year during December with my two little daughters and of course with my lovely wife. Oh! the freedom my daughters enjoyed on the beach even their parents’ absence never bothered them at 10 PM on the sea side.
Friendly inhabitants, caring staff, accommodating sea-crabs with green water of lagoon in a moonlit night, that too without maddening rush of tourists, hawkers or touts, we, the whole family along with few other similar families, three foreig couples really enjoyed. The alchohol-free environment of the resort itself is intoxicating and repales suspicion of any kind. However, food was little hot with chilli powder but we managed with fruit supplements. It was a never to forget episode of enjoyment in tranquility. Trips to nearby islands by small boats are so exciting! Colours of lagoon-water are mesmerisingly attractive.
Of course, it was little costly, but worth it. Even after staying for 5 long days and nights, somewhere in a corners of our hearts, we still cherish visiting Agatti again. So long !
