Turned up at the property in India with pre paid confirmation from Agoda and the hotel denied room saying they do not have tie up with Agoda . Called Agoda customer care 10:40 pm local time, spent crucial time at night with them (around 30 mins) and they were not able to contact the property and offered a callback to arrange alternative booking. Agoda specialist team called back and offered cancellation+AgodaCash compensation as they were not able to find alternative bookings. It was of no help as it is already late in night and with kids and elderly. Got stranded at middle of night without any practical help. Disappointed with the property and with Agoda for such pathetic business values. If the pre paid confirmation of a property cannot guarantee you the accommodation, what is the point of using these services? A full refund will not give you alternative accomodation and address the risk of sleeping on the street with kids and elderly. This is nothing but unethical business practices and fraud.
