As a class Agrawal’s is good. The proffesors are very good at delivering the lectures, and their management efficiency is 100%. But, just recently, I feel, it is becoming outdated. I mean, in today’s scenario, you just cannot be content by giving only HSC and CET. Actually, now HSC has lost its meaning. Yet to join Agrawal’s CET class, joining their HSC class is compulsary. This I think, is a no-no. Sure, its true that u need to know HSC syllabus thoroughly before going for CET, but then how will students get time to prepare for national level exams?
Only the best & serious students come to Agrawals. Well, if all they are going to do is mug up HSC, they are wasting their time and talent. HSC is of little practical use and the competition in CET is ridiculous. 1 mark covers 50 students, even at the top level of marks. Its not a pyramid, its a fat cylinder. If you are a competitive student and your aim is VJTI, SP and UICT, then u must prepare for IIT. It sounds crazy, but numerically u have a better chance to get into IITs than the above 3 colleges. The idiotic reservations also add to the above fact.
But as a coaching class, I have no complains from Agrawal. The grueling schedule, trains u to work hard (somthing which helped me in my IIT prep also)
I was horrible at their HSC tests, but I improved in CET. Mainly becoz presentation didnot matter there. I was consistently in top 10, and once u are there, u knw u are good. I eventually got a rank of 107 in Maharashtra CET, which is ’’not bad, please!’’ as Prof. Dheer Singh would say.
I really, hope that Agrawal, restarts its IIT coaching. Any good student has to compete at national level. Just like Mumbai cricket, the IIT input from Mumbai and Maharashtra has declined. If Agrawal comes back, we can give Kota a run for their money!
