Thumbs up!!

Dear old Agrus!!! How much I am in love with thee... Well, here I have just finished my year at Agrawal Classes [officially since my exams got over today]. What an enchantingly wonderful experience it has been!

If I had to describe Agrawal in one word, it would be ’PROFESSIONAL’. The class duration is approximately six and a half hours, with a five minute break in between lectures and a long break of ..er 20 minutes. Four lectures, each of one and a half hours, are conducted everyday, with an exception of two days when you get a half day [we had it this way]. All the professors at Agrus are classy, very precise in their teaching and are sufficiently knowlegeable themselves. There are two batches: Morning and Evening [7.00 to 1.40 and 2.00 to 8.30 approx.]

On my first day, Prof. Agrawal came to greet us [what a sweet guy!]. We had a rocking time from day one. All the professors were great and we made our favourites.

Babu- With his simBle accent and a wry sense of humour, he made us laugh till we ached. His ’derivatuies’ will always remain crystal clear in my mind. [career-approx. 28 years]

Sunil Bhatt- One of the most mindblowing professors I have ever encountered[maths]

Sunil Purushottam- ’’All of you’ll’’.. Another classy maths professor

Ravi Seshan- His voice is so mild...you can hear only till a radius of about 50 miles..lol but a fantastic physics prof ..’’dyan do’’... perfect south indian accent hehe..[Engineer from V.J.T.I]

Santosh Yadav- Well...I found him to be one of the most knowledgeable chemistry professors

Arun Deshmukh-’’Jon’t you think...’’ Electrochemistry was taught very well by him...

Professor Deb- Chemical thermodynamics and Nuclear chemistry were his chapters. We actually learnt the whole chapters by heart in his classes itself.

Prof. Dheer Singh- Need I say anything? One of the most intelligent physics professors.. ’very poor pleeezz’...’galt baat kahi tumne’... He’s so good you’d think he’s invented Physics himself...[he’s been there forever you’d feel... still so good at his age approx 70yrs] [I.I.T - 1ST RANK]

Prof Kadalli- Chemistry expert [teaching for approx. 30 years]

Prof Vengsarkar- Mathematics prof... very dry and lucid and precise...I.I.T- 3RD RANK

Prof. Kulkarni - very detailed chem professor...’you will get that in a FRACTION OF A SECOND...’

and ofcourse..

Prof Awatramani- ’ Rrrrightly Wrrrrite the Rrrright answer’...He made us learn his topics by rote in his classes...very systematic and precise..

All the professors mentioned above are my top favourites...sorry it’s a bit long;I couldn’t resist mentioning all of them...

There are many teachers at Agrus..all of them are very good... The thing I noticed was that all the professors are males with the exception of a biology teacher [femme]. I wonder why... Agrus has a very high standard of professors and surely there are many intelligent females around. The pay is excellent ... I wouldn’t mind becoming one myself;).. Another minus point I think is the number of tests held during the year... Very few totally and very vast portions for each test...Most of us weren’t very happy with this system...we ended up cramming a lot at the last moment.... I found that the examiners aren’t very accurate either.. I did self-assessing. But the tests aren’t that difficult as is the general belief.. I’ll tell one thing.. If you find Agru tests fairly easy, then HSC exams are gonna be a piece of cake.

All in all, my experience with Agrawal Classes has been a memorable one. I have done my exams pretty well and a lot of credit goes to Agrus. But its also important that you put in efforts from your side too in order to excel. All the best!!
