Out of the famous collaboration between klaus kinski and werner herzog, this is the best. As herzog do not use storyboards before shooting a movie, the shots that are used are superb, unplanned.
Shot in amazon, with a poetic visual style and kinski’s best performance puts mr. herzog as one of the finest directors of all time. The movie is dissimilar comparison to the historical point of view but who cares when klaus gives his best acting performance.
It is shot with a guerrilla style approach and if you love german pioneers such as wim wenders and fassbinder do watch it.
