It's really a superb film

Prakash Raj’s Duet Movies has came after ’Naam’ with no big names in its cast and technicial bunch in Ahagiya Theeyae. This time Prakash Raj has produced for a simple storyline with love, sentiments, comedy and also some sorrow. The sucess of this film is everyone (cast & technicians) because they did their roles beautifully under the direction of debut director Radha Mohan. But the most important person is Vijay, who has penned the dialogues for this movie. Its a different film from the expected stuff which makes it be notable from the others.

Story:

Chandran (Prasanna) is a assistant director in films and he is living with his 3 friends (Morthi, Bala and Gopi) in a small portion of Annachi’s(M S Baskar) house. Nandhini(Navya Nair), daughter of a despot father, who fixes up marriage with Aravind(Prakash Raj). But she is not interested in marriage because she hated men. To break the marriage, she seeks the help of her friends brother, who in turn seeks Chandran. Chandran workout a plan and acts as Nandhini’s lover and stops the marriage. But this leads to unexpected happenings. This is the story.

Cast

Prasanna:

This is the first time i’m seeing his movie. He has delivered a good performance. His funniness actions adds a plus to that character. He has improved his acting when compared to his past films. In some situations, you can see Ajithi’s acting in him.

Navya Nair:

This is the first film in tamil for Malluwood star Navya Nayar and she is so charming and fits in that character. She really depends on her acting and not exposing other things.

Jayaram, Bala, Kumuravel, M S Bhaskar:

Their comedy track is really good. All are new faces except Baskar. And they really done their job decently. Baskar and Kumuravel’s dialog delivery is superb. You will laugh even after came out of the theatre. Puyal’s character is really a good one, which falls for all the girls who he meets.

Pyramid Natrajan & Prakash Raj:

Done their usual job..

Techincial Crew:

Viji:

He is the backbone of this film. His comedy dialogues are very sensitive and healthy one.

Radha Mohan:

He is the director of this movie. He has taken a simple story line, but puts his hardwork in the screenplay. A well-mannered, painstaking screenplay. And his direction is really fantastic. No doublemeaning dialogue, no foreign locations, no sexy dresses, no vulgars and even no action scenes . He has moved this film in everyone’s hardwork. I don’t know why he selected the flashback technique like Alaipayuthey.

Ramesh Vinayakam:

Songs are good. His songs are another plus point for the sucess of this movie. And no hear paining background scores. You can hear some mournful melody like his last movie ’Nalathamayanthi’.

Prakash Raj proved his acting skills in many films and the recent one is killi. Now he turned to expose the skills of many new talents. In this film, most of the crew are new and they proved their talents. He should come with this type of decent films in the future introducting many more new talents.

Pros:

Characters are portrayed in a natural manner.

All did their jobs correctly (cast and technicial team).

No doublemeaning dialogue, no foreign locations, no sexy dresses, no vulgar and no action scenes.

Cons:

Nothing.
