Ahista Ahista, this was supposed to be the typical, bollywood, cleancut film. With a neat star cast and a easy love story with no vulgar scenes or harsh language. Yes, this may fit the bill of this movie but at times the movie was boring and lacked enthusiasm and pungence. The story was about this girl who runs away from home to get married to this "hunk" who many people had warned her of. Thisguy never shows up, and the poor girl waits for hours infront of the marriage court in a different city with no money ya tikana. Abhay deol works as a witness at this marriage court, he charges 200 rupees to be a witness for the court marriage. Abhay helps her out and encourages her, that her boyfriend will soon show up...but he is a no show. The girl has no where to go since she left her home in nanital to come to the city to get married. Abhay takes her to where he lives, in his friends mothers home. The landlord kicks both him and this girl out becasue she feels soemthing is fishy. Abhay is on the streets, but he still helps the poor girl out. Everyday the girl follows him to his work at the court, to look for her boyfriend. during many months of waiting, the girl becomes good friends with abhay and follows him everywhere. They both share a good chemistry and become attached to one another. Soha helps him get a job, and he helps her find a real place to live.
Abhay falls inlove with her and lets her know. She also has some feelings for him but is a little modest and doesnt open up. Everythhing is going great, abhay finds a real job and wants to propose to her...just then he old boyfriend, shyan munnchi comes looking for her. Abhay has his freinds side track him and want him to forget about her. But he desperately searches. Abhay tells him that soha is dead. SHyan is heartbroken...however he eventually comes to know of the truth between abhay and soha and goes to tell soha why he didnt come to get married that one day. soha has to make a decision..and I think u should watch the movie to see the decision.
the movie is cute and sweet, but a little long and there is nothing that keeps the viewer engrossed in the film. But it is a break from sleasy skin show and dishhoom dishoom scenes. for a laid back film it is not bad..and I would recommend it to those who need a break from such modern indian films.
