Ordered a spl dum biryanis Rs.250/- per plate from Ahmed Bhai but was not upto the expectations, couldnt satisfy th taste buds.Might be due to over expectations.
They claim that they provide Biryanis to the 5 star and 3 star hotels in Mumbai.This might be the reason that I had high expectations from them for the taste.Possibly they might have two various recipes or cooks and hence the difference in taste.
The biryani what was served had lot of masala and too less oil that I had to gulp it down forcefully below my throat.
This was the last time I had ordered Biryani from Ahmed Bhai and prefer the very local Biryani/ catering service providers. Which actually cook the Biryanis traditionally and dont preserve the ingredients and masalas in the freezers unlike the other hotels who cook the Biryanis and serve you in 10 mins.
The ambience & Decor at the Ahmed Bhai’s is good.Good presentation.Not a value for money atleast for Biryani’s.The hotel is located so near to the city raod that you have really keep a watch at your children.Also the take away counter and Pan shop sometimes creates a nuisance.
