HUN AMDAVADI

Well Guys I am not a Gujju, but I feel great when someone call me Gujju, Because gujju’s always love to be in light. Well I am Born Amdavadi and had been eye witness of Ahmedabad’s good and bad days. I had been to different cities and did spend good time in different cities but, the comfort that I get in A’bad cant be explained. Its just like Mothers lap. That may be because in Ahmedabad I get my family and Old Friends. They what’s so good about Ahmedabad ?

Well good thing about Ahmedabad is that it adopts any one easily, its very easy to adjust Ahmedabad, because you will find all kind of people around here. Very easy to find a job, living standard is not so high. All the facilities are available from latest to antique. Fun loving People. Best part of this city and people is that her people love food. Its also been said that Ahmedabad ki public bhukhi hain. Ahmedabad is only place were most of the India’s ICE Cream is consumed. Ahmedabad is were you will find most of the Leading Industries Like Vadilal, Nirma, Reliance, Rasna, CORE, Ramdev Foods and many more. All of them have made history. Ahmedabad is also city were most of the stock dealing is done.

For Visitors, Well so far Ahmedabad is concern definitely its not tourist place, its place for the business by the business and to the business. But with with business and business class people it also holds few memories and monuments. Memories like Mahatma Gandhi’s Ashram, its also called as Sabarmati Ashram on the bank of river Sabarmati. Well if u go there to see something extraordinary then its not place for you. Sabarmati Ashram is a place were you can relax a bit and understand what Gandhiji mean about Peace. About Monuments, we have Zhulta Minar, which is no more Zhulta. Akshardham, A Swaminaryan Temple, 25Km from Ahmedabad. Bibi ka Masjid, Lake at Sarkhej Roja, Jami Masjid, Calico Museum, Kankaria Lake, Mosque of Sidi Saiyed, and Dada Hari-ni-Vav & Adalj -ni-vav

which si also called Stepwells of Gujarat.

Its climate

On the whole, the state is moist in the southern districts and dry in the northern districts. The intensity of the climate has been reduced by the Arabian sea and the Gulf of Cambay. The forest covered mountains on the eastern boundary also help reduce the intensity of the climate rendering it pleasant and healthy. The winter season starts from November and continues till mid-March. After that the days start getting warmer though the nights are pleasant. From mid-March to mid-June is the summer season. At its peak, the temperature touches 45 or even 46 degrees celsius. The south west monsoon lashes the State from mid-June and continues till September end. Like the first half of March, in October too the days are warm but the nights pleasant.

Its people

Intermingling of Races

In more than one sense, Ahmedabad has been a field of conquering races which settled downhere. From ancient time this western gateway of India has been a place where a lot of action, reaction, and interaction between various ethnic and linguistic forces has taken place which in turn has resulted in the synthesis of many races and cultures. Different races brought with them differing political institution, unique social customs, varied cultures and creeds. Each horde brought its own language, arts and crafts, poetry, thought forms, philosophy, social practices and religious life. The Aryans came by land and settled down in Saurashtra, Anarta and Apparanta. Persians, Arabs and Africans came by sea through Saurashtra ports for shelter, trade and at times for conquest. Then, just before and after the start of the Christian era, hordes of Kusanas, Hunas and other tribes descended on Gujarat. The coming in of these foreigners resulted in the fusion of various cultures and traditions which were either assimilated or adopted by the original inhabitants.

The settling and mixing of these foreigners with the Aryans became so indistinguishable as to earn this region a rather dubious distinction of being called a ’Mlechcha’ country.
