⚠ Horrible Experience with Air Arabia Please Read Before You Book
I usually dont write long reviews, but this time its necessary. Air Arabias service has been the worst Ive experienced, and I want to warn others before they face similar stress.
📌 Booking Background:
I booked a round-trip flight from Moscow to Bengaluru(BLR) via Sharjah with flight number G9 806 for June-September 2025.
Onward Journey: 23 June 2025
Return: Early September 2025
I booked this in March 2025 being a student from India studying in Russia, I had to plan early for affordability and limited route options. Ive flown Air Arabia before, but nothing prepared me for this mess.
❗ What Went Wrong
1. No Flight Cancellation Notification:
Due to the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025, airspace restrictions affected many flights. Air Arabia flights were being cancelled up to 20 June, and later the restriction extended beyond that.
They never sent any email or official notice about my flight being suspended. I only found out by chatting with their live support myself. If I hadnt reached out, Id have shown up at the airport unaware.
2. I Chose Rescheduling They Ignored It:
Once I learned my flight was suspended, I submitted the form on their site, opting for rescheduling on the same day via any alternative route.
I emailed multiple times and received no reply.
I even considered travelling 300 km to Moscow from my university to sort this, but their helpline never connected always busy. What kind of airline has no working line during a crisis?
3. Others Were Rescheduled, I Was Not:
Shockingly, I found out some of my friends flying the same route were rescheduled on alternate flights for example: Moscow Tashkent Sharjah Bengaluru.
So Air Arabia clearly had alternatives, but chose to only offer them to a few like lifeboats in Titanic. Not everyone gets a chance.
4. My Booking Was Cancelled Silently:
After all the unanswered emails, no callback, no guidance, my booking was suddenly cancelled without informing me.
I logged into my account and found they had converted my ticket into a credit voucher without my consent. This is despite me specifically requesting rescheduling.
5. Attempt to Rebook Failed Voucher Not Working:
A day before travel, I tried using the voucher to book the same alternate route given to other passengers, but it wouldnt let me redeem it. I even tried paying the ₹;13, 000 difference from my own pocket, but the booking failed. Another dead end.
6. Final Option: New Ticket at Double Price:
Left stranded, I had no choice but to book another ticket at nearly double the original fare, just to return home.
7. Refund Drama:
I then asked for a refund to my bank account. They told me it would take 21 working days.
Today is 30 July and I have received only a partial refund.
Every time I follow up in chat, they say Weve forwarded it to our team. Youll receive an email soon.
Emails arrive after 7-10 days, often with no update.
Even when I asked for proof of payment to follow up with my bank, they refused saying the same line: Query forwarded.
⚠ Final Thoughts
No proper flight cancellation notice
No help with rescheduling
Selective rescheduling for only some passengers
Silent cancellation and conversion to voucher
Voucher not working
Had to spend double to book a last-minute flight
Partial, delayed refund and no communication
Zero accountability
Im a student, I dont have the luxury of wasting time and money like this. Air Arabia caused financial loss, emotional stress, and the worst customer experience Ive ever had.
🚫 I strongly advise others: DO NOT FLY WITH AIR ARABIA.
They abandon passengers in crisis and treat people unfairly.
Save yourself the trouble, choose an airline that respects customers.
