I flew Air India Express on the Muscat-Delhi sector for the first and last time in Jan’2006 and have only one thing to say.................avoid it at all costs!
The check in staff were quite rude at the Muscat airport, they didnt allow the passengers any cabin baggage as the reason cited was that since the flight was coming from Abu Dhabi, all the overhead bins were full!!!!!!!Unwillingly, I had to check in all my baggage including ones containing glass items and imp documents.
The flight got delayed by an hour.
The first impression on boarding the aircraft was.............really dirty interiors, seemed that they had not been cleaned for ages! To my awe........left overs from the previous leg of the flight were still there inside the seat pockets.The stewards and the hostesses were young and energetic though.. The seating was cramped with no legroom.I preferred to avoid the food.
On reaching Delhi, I discovered to my horror that my luggage was not boarded ............later discovered that I had company.............same was the case with 40 more passengers! There was absolutely no information regarding the baggage.
Finally received my luggage on the 6th Day after making daily trips to the airport to enquire about the same, in vain of course.............as the standard airline reply was ’’We dont have any information ’’.
Resolution to myself....................never to fly Air India Express again, even if offered for free !!!!!!!!
