If you want a peacefully flight, please do not ever opt for Air India. It is a shame to know that they are ripping off people over excess luggage. I was traveling from London - Mumbai and I had 2 kgs excess in my cabin baggage and guess what, they asked me to pay 60 pounds or else they will off load my bags from the flight. And I am talking about ’CABIN BAG’ here, who weighs cabin bags anyways?
I literally had to beg and cry to allow me to get on the flight and the staff was like you either pay or the flight will go without you. I requested them to consider since it was just 2 kgs and being a student I did not have enough cash in hand. But I guess they were just trained to be rude and arrogant. There were a lot more people who were being ripped off and kept complaining that it was a mistake choosing this airline. I finally had to give up all my cookies and cheese cake I bought for my family members.
When I boarded the flight with tears, I was shocked to find the flight totally empty. I wonder how innovative they can get to cover up the loss the airline is incurring. Air India is not India’s national airline. It is indeed a national shame. It is the most unprofessional and unethical airline ever! They do not care for their customers where as we are the ones who run their business. This airline needs to either shut down or get some serious work ethics. I miss Kingfisher Airlines, it was a class apart.
