AirIndia!! I took this flight to new york from mumbai ai144 or ai114 and I cant stop telling people about how disgusting the entire flight was. The flight was delayed by about 2 hrs and people were almost beating up the authorities(it can happen only in india) ... leave all that apart and lets just get into the plane. U’ll be greeted by grumpy bagged eyed (probably with glasses) air hostesses who appear to be atleast 45 years old. Mine had a nepali lady who was extremely unpleasant all through out. She had a shrieky voice and didnt hesitate to insult elderly passengers when they asked for more tea or juice or whatever. The best part is that they serve juice or soda in plastic cups. They might have a 2 liter bottle and they’ll pour some into plastic cups depending on how much they like ur face. I had specifically asked for fish for my meal and when she got to me and I asked her for the salmon she said that its over almost as if she was doing me a favor. There were all sorts of incidents happening from time to time with different people around you that make you completely uncomfortable about approaching them. We had a stopover at paris and a couple with a little baby boarded the plane and they had some baby food that they requested to be refrigerated and she started to yell at them that ’’we dont do such things, and all this will be thrown at the US airport anyways so there is no point’’ The couple gave up and sat with the food. When we were about to land she realised that there was someone in the bathroom and she started pounding the door and yelling at the person inside. Then she came out and started making comments like ’’these people don’t understand and then they’ll fall and blame us’’ and made some stupid jokes with some frequent flier I guess who had gotten used to all this! Overall I was way too glad to get off that flight and since I hv a return ticket I totally dread going back on that flight. Looks like these people are trained to be rude rather than anything else. I’ve flown air deccan which is supposed to be one of the cheapest domestic flights and they were so so so so much better than airindia!
