The Indian Needs a Face Lift

I have been on a lot of flights both domestic and international inIndia as well as the US. My most recent experience with Indian is July2006 Bom - Blr on my way back from the US. Few things which I deemnecessary for the airline to do better are as follows :

A) They need to basically improve their presentation. The Aircrafts areold, interiors are unpolished and their shuttles that take you from thesecurity lounge to the aircraft look like some run down vehicles. Thisis a setback for the airline when they are juxtaposed with the likes ofJet Airways whose presentation and punctuality is commendable.

B) The Indian needs to find ways in which they are more punctual thanever before. My flight was half an hour late. However what I donot find justifyable is that the boarding was delayed due to the laxityof the ground crew. They took their own sweet time in letting thepassengers onto the aircraft.

Having said the above, I still recommend Indian as one of the bestairlines you could fly on. The following would be things that wouldmake you fly with them over and over again.

A) The cabin crew is extremely courteous and pleasant. However theyneed to be trained to be a little more agile. Most of the cabin creware elderly members, their agility and enthusiasm is what needs aboost. Their respect and care for the customer are things one can beassured off.

B) The food they provide is also very good. The closest that comes to this is Jet Airways.

Today probably JET is the best airline inside of the sub-continent, however if their presentation and punctuality is kept as a benchmarkthat Indian needs to achieve then I guess we will have 2 of a classykind.
