Airline for the Aged

Indian Airlines is a domestic airline, owned and managed by the Government.

I have not travelled with Indian Airlines since the past four years.

The last time I had travelled with Indian Airlines was in November 2000. I was travelling with my Eighty five year old grandma. I was going to Udaipur. I had asked for front seats and asked for a wheelchair for granny. I got both. I was the first person to enter and the first person to exit the aircraft. The airhostess was very courteous and helpful. She took very special care of my grandma. She came to our seat every five minutes.

Indian Airlines gives concessions to senior citizens (50% Discount)

The aircrafts are very old. (Twenty to twenty five years or more)

The interiors were similar to the local trains of Mumbai.

The food was okay. (But their samosas were frozen)

The next time I am travelling with IA when I am a senior citizen.
