We used to travel via Air India even though their fares were high, ’cos I have a die hard Indian as my husband who wanted to give business to Indian carriers only.
After several long winding queues at London Heathrow check-in counters; where the staff are busy on the phone till the last 1/2hr for check-in desk closure;ignoring the long queue going out of the terminal too.
Hence invariably the flight was always delayed for take off. Bombay in those days was a dreadful airport to land in with small kids; the whole journey was hell. One always promised never to travel again, but did so’cos most of the Asian travel agents in UK were promoting Air India all the time.
Later we switched to several other Airlines which proved to be fine.
We have once again booked to go to HongKong with Air India now, because they were the cheapest and I had the idea after so many years they must have got their act together.
Reading all these latest dreadful reviews about Air India;I am apprehensive about our forthcoming trip.
So will log in again in Feb 2010 and let you guys know how we found our whole journey with Air India to HongKong.
