Okay . I agree that Air India perhaps has the most economical air fares on many sectors, but is that the reason to chose one of the worst airlines? Well, I did that and here’s why I will never fly air india again -
Worst flight attendants - The ladies(mind you, air india has ladies not girls as air hostesses) are never smiling and always seem depressed with something in their lives. Quite sad considering that all they have to do is smile and greet all passengers warmly. too much work?
Flights are almost always late - My last flight was from colombo to new delhi - its a short flight of 3 hours which took 10 hours of waiting at the airport. With no prior information provided of any scheduled delays - So annoying to wait 10 hours at the airport - might as well spend that extra time on your vacation if you are informed beforehand.
Food is pathetic
So, if the difference in fares is not huge, I would never recommend anyone to travel on Air India.
