Indian Airlines has one of the most pathetic website I have ever come across. I have booked a ticket online, unfortunately I needed to cancel that. But let alone cancellation of ticket, I cant even login. Customer Care Representatives tried their best to help me but even they couldnt do much when website refused to respond.
Moreover, if you wish to cancel your ticket, it would not show any ticket history in your login, you have to enter few conditions in their search form and that requires a field which says Date on which ticket was booked. Now I dont remember when I booked my ticket, I just remember when I have to fly. On top of that, website doesnt put any Booking Date anywhere on your itinerary or ticket. So what you have to do is note the booking date on a piece of paper and keep it safe with you. What a incredible website and I wonder who designed that !!!
Now I am trying to cancel my ticket through phone, hope it works else I will have to go to the airport itself. God knows if they will cancel my ticket there as well.
Even Customer Care Phone Numbers on the website have gone obsolete. I have been using other Airlines websites frequently, I know u will laugh on this but even Air Deccan has the better website than Indian Airlines. Its an irony, a country which claims to be a IT Super Power has the most Pathetic Government Websites.
You can feel the difference when you enjoy surfing through ICICI Bank website which is an Indian Bank and whose website is being maintained by Indian IT Organization Infosys.
