Was highly unfortunate to have booked Airlift cab, and over that did stupidity to book it on return as well.
Had a flight for 10 AM, and Airlift had an option for 5:50 or 6:50 AM cabs for pickup at Ittina Akkala Apartments, Whitefield. This being the first time I was opting for shared taxi service, despite my wifes resistance I booked the 5:50 AM cab. The decision proved to be right as taxi appeared on the check point at 6:35 AM only, and moreover throughout the waiting time driver repeatedly convinced me that he will reach the point in another 5 minutes. It was highly irritating to be waiting on the road for 45 minutes or so.
The horror doesnt end here, instead of promised 5 passenger service these junkards booked 6 passenger. On confronting the driver he candidly said that it is 6 passenger service and not 5. Well their call center opened up at 7 AM (another blatant lie that they are open 24x7), their executive was bit confused what to answer and tried to argue away from the topic of whether there should be 5 or 6 passengers. Luckily I had booked the early morning cab, hence was able to reach the airline check in counter on time.
The story doesnt end here, I was back after two weeks vacation and flight landed at 8:15PM. Was able to make out of the airport by 8:40 or so. Since city taxis were bit expensive, we decided to take the Volvo bus till KR Puram railway station, and then book an auto for further route. Few steps prior to the Volvo lane, got this Airlift guy (Raju - 9742280557) who was offering Airlift drop for discounted rate. I ensured that the cab will be going straight to my place as the only other passenger was for Brookefield, which is pretty close to my place and falls later than my stop. This liars not only later booked another pasenger for Inner Ring Road (Near Dell Campus) but just before leaving the parking lot booked another passenger for R T Nagar. Had I knew about the passenger, I would have certainly got down the cab, but this got evident only on the way when R T Nagar passenger herself being unaware of the directions started arguing with the driver about the route. Having no choice called up Raju, but beyond Sorry and Apologies he had nothing else to say. Instead of 45 - 60 minutes we ended up spending more than 2 hours in the cab on return.
These guys do not have any business ethics and have zero concern for customer satisfaction. They are least bothered about the impression that a passenger is gathering from this attitude of theirs. It was pretty evident while talking with Raju, that he is not worried if we decide not to take up Airlift again. We had a conversation with Driver (on return journey) and as per him their superiors have clearly instructed them to follow what the route supervisor says and no need to bother about the passengers remarks and comments.
All in all, if you want to keep yourself happy and board the flight with smiling face AVOID AIRLIFT CAB SERVICE. Its gonna ruin your day.
