Cheating By Mis-information

I have taken an Aircel sim for 3G purpose only for use with my dongle. I checked their site for the best paln available for my circle. There they showed a Rs 295 plan where you get a 4GB upfront and 2GB per month for next 2 months.


Since it looked a great one I went to a recharge shop and did the recharge for the said amount. The transaction got cleared and the recharge went successful but since I did not receive any confirmation message or the plan benefit I again went the next day to the recharge shop.


There the owner of the shop called the Aircel customer care and we were told that the amount is a FRC recharge. Now Aircel website did not mention it as a FRC recharge when they posted it.


I was told the amount will not be refunded either will I get any benefit. Since I persisted that it was mis-information on their part, they gave me a solution to buy a Micromax dongle. They told me that if I buy a Micromax dongle they will provide me the same benefit.


Its cheating by holding out information and then up selling another product. And getting across to a live agent from a normal consumer phone is a battle that one will always lose. You cannot get across a live agent. The line gets disconnected when you try doing that.


Aircel shame on you.


I want to see what reply can they come up with or will they just neglect my grievance.
