I have been using several mobile numbers viz. Airtel, Vodafone, Tata Docomo, RCOM, Idea including Aircel for last more than 20 years. But today I can say Aircel Kolkata circle is the worst among the whole service providers in India. Since I live both in Kolkata and Bangalore, one Aircel Kolkata prepaid number(7685987016) I have been using now a days. Last 12th August I recharged it with Rs.175/- for 1 GB data plan. Since I was that time in Bangalore Aircel regular network, I was sure that I was connected in their network. Hence on 13th August in Bangalore airport I did net surfing for a few minutes. I was sure that my 1 GB data plan which was activated previous day will take care of the surfing. But later I was surprised to note, instead of deducting data from my data plan, my Rs. 47/- talk time was deducted for the surfing. When I lodged complaint to Aircel customer support for this deduction and requested refund, they simply refused and informed that during net-surfing I as connected to Hutch network and hence the deduction of talk time is justified. They also advised me to check network manually before doing using net in roaming. In similar case in Delhi, when money was deducted Rs.200/- from my Tata Docomo prepaid balance, they refunded that on my complaint as good-will gesture. But this beggar service provider Aircel who is begging RCOM to take over to save their company has no such goodwill to show to their customers even though the amount is only Rs47/- in this case. That is the difference between a Tata company and a beniya company like Aircel. Since Bangalore is in their network, I feel because of some problem in their network my mobile was connected to Hutch hence the responsibility was their faulty network. But simply they refused to take the responsibility.
FINALLY I GOT THE REFUND WHEN I ESCALATED THE ISSUE TO CEO AND VP OF AIRCEL.
