The new upcoming flick of akshay kumar’s’airlift’, is a welcome sight after the recent likes of movies that released namely, dilwale and bajirao mastani. This movie is inspired by true accounts / incidents from the time of the iraq invasion of kuwait, when iraq was under saddam hussain’s dicattorial regime. This movie depicts the brave and applaudable effort put by the indian govt. to rescue 110, 000 indians based in kuwait. The operation took 59 days( 13/08/1990 - 11/10/1990), during which 488 airindia flights were operated to bring the indians back to mumbai.
It’s a must watch for those who like sensible cinema based on true events.
