Complaint sent to Airtel Managing Director. No response!:(
I am using Airtel broadband services. My account number 11691842. It disheartens me to bring to your notice that I have been billed wrongly for the services not used by me from March 27, 2011 till date.
The last eight months, I’ve been plagued with your company’s billing problems. In March 2011, I had given a written request to your company to shift the internet connection to my new address. However the connection was never restored to my new address but I was being charged for the same. I refused to pay for the services which were never availed by me. Later in June 2011, I escalated the matter to your nodal and appellate office. I received around 7 service requests( not serviced) from your nodal and appellate offices .

Also your company decided to close the case on the pretext that no services could be provided in my locality, where as there are many existing Airtel broadband connections in my apartment block.
As per the below letter I received from Chinnasamy N(appellate office) On Sep 22, 2011 .
“We regret to inform you that, we are unable to process your request for shifting of your connection which was been registered with reference number 3820812 due to non feasibility of network at the address request from your end.
However, request for cancellation has been registered with reference number 4524136 and it is under process.”
however to my utter surprise, on December 17, 2011 the internet connection was restored. But the services were disconnected on December 21, 2011 for nonpayment of the outstanding bill. I would again like to reiterate that I was unable to use your services for which I was being charged as the connection was not transferred to my new address. Why shall I pay for the services not used by me? Hence I want your company to waive off all the bills charged wrongly from March 27, 2011(invoice 994495401) till December 26, 2011(invoice no 647551400). Also once my connection is restored, I want you to charge me on pro-rata basis for the days from restoration of the broadband connection. Further, I was astonished when I started getting calls from your collection department for paying the bill amount.
