Airtel broadband service has set a standard in the internet services in Bangalore, I don’t know about erst of the India.
My likes & dislikes:
> Service is impressive.......however the contact to customer support takes a hell of a waiting time & I was disconnected thrice while speaking to a customer support executive....It can’t be coincidence 3 times. yet much better than BSNL broadband customer support.
>They have websites that offer tools to check ur speed, Anti-virus performance etc but sometimes the server is takes 30 mins to get connected.
>I am using 512 kps unlimited pack along with PC secure anti-virus but the total cost is 940/- each month if u r using just the internet & not making calls. There can be hidden charges like "activation" charges or somethings like that...be careful & make sure u ask about such charges from 2-3 people from airtel so that u don’t get cheated later.....better talk to customer support or visit airtel shop/showroom. Honestly I am not very happy about the cost factor & I always keep mentioning it to people who seek airtel broadband connections.
> Another disadvantage is once u become a customer for airtel u start receiving calls from airtel sales team on ur mentioned phone number to buy their other products like mobile packs, DTH services & trust me these guys bug u & r very pushy, so be careful with it. Airtel definitely wants to monopolize the market.
