I had to move from Bangalore to Hyderabad for company switch. On asking for termination of Airtel broadband connection they offered me to transfer the connection from Bangalore to Hyderabad free of cost. After coming to Hyderabad I raised a request for transfer of connection on 3 dec 2010. I was been informed that it will be done by 15 dec. Then the date moved to 18-Dec. Till today (21 Dec 2010) the connection has not been installed. I followed up with them a lot on mails and phone. Even escalated this request to the nodal officer. IN every reply they just copy paste the same content i.e. to wait patiently. I have waited more than 15 day and still my connection is not yet installed.
Based on my experience, I would suggest you the following:
Do not just have a blind faith on what the Airtel customer care people offer during termination of connection.
Never go for movement/reinstalltion of connection on switching the city. It takes hell lot of time.
Always share your experiences with the fellow/readers so that they can learn from other mistakes.
