I subscribe for their highest plan on Airtel 4G LTE of 40gb for 2500/month and they claimed that my data usage was maxed out in the first week of the new billing cycle.
I have complaint numbers from all the times I got to speak to them (hung up on me several times after keeping me on hold for several minutes). They asked me to buy extra smartbytes, which would then be refunded at announcement at the end of billing cycle once bill was generated.
(This sounded shady to me from the start but I had no other option as I needed the internet). Now they say they can only refund for one purchase of 10gb smartbytes, even though I pay for 40gb/month and only got a total of 30gb i.e. 10gb for INR 1000 a total of 3 times which is still less than what I originally pay for i.e. 40 gb and have raked up a bill of INR 5618.
MORE THAN TWICE THE SUBSCRIBED BILL AMOUNT FOR LESS THAN SUBSCRIBED SERVICE.
Absolute fraud of a company. I have now started a complaint on the consumer helpline and will go the the consumer court/forum if this is not resolved.
I encourage you to do the same. Do not let these leeches suck any more blood out of us consumers. If enough people take these scoundrels to court either they will have to stop or we will force them to.
