Poorest service and not yet received my money back

I have applied for an Airtel Broadband connection in July 23rd 2012. An Airtel executive came to my home and collected money. After many follow ups no one came to establish a connection in 15 days and finally customer care representative told me that my application has cancelled.


Reason: Airtel can’t provide connection in Tiruvanmiyur area because Distribution point is full. (Saying a DB can only support 5000 connections - But that is not my problem)


Same day when the application got cancelled, I was told that I will receive my cheque in 21 working days. In that scenario, I would have receive my cheque by 30th September. I did not receive any.


Again I called up Airtel CC they said "WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED" The routine customer care monologue. and was told that I will again have to wait for 21 working days (October 9th). Here I got doubt that they may not be interested to pay my money back.


"Because of their inability to provide the service, I did wait for 15 days without internet and finally I got BSNL Broadband.


Now..again on 10th October I called again. The same dialogue "WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED". He told with in 1 hour I will be receiving a call from their representative to explain about the status. I did not receiving any.


Today (11th October) one executive called me and said that I will receive my check in another 12 working days (WTF??)


Why should I wait for another 12 days? First of all what is the problem? No clue. I told I am not at all happy with this. He said that "I will update it sir". What is the point to update there as long as you dont show any interest to resolve the problem?


Interestingly when asked him about the cheque number and consignment number of courier, he gave cheque number and a consignment number. If he already got the consignment number, why 12 days? strange thing is that he don’t who is the courier service provider. Without knowing that how does he know consignment number?


Finally what will I do with that consignment number? :-)


God will only know about this. I am worried a lot. Even to consider it as a charity, Airtel is neither a begger nor any under privileged.


The sad part is I received many harsh words from many people during my chat.I wrote this long review to bring it to the attention of Netizens that how they cheat.
