Unable to Shift and Bill accumulating

I was an airtel BB customer and then I shifted house and asked them to shift the connection. They asked me to settle the bill first than shifting request could be lodged. I paid my bill(Oct 28 -2011) and than lodged a shifting request no. 6448126 with a 1 week resolution time. They called me after 3-4 days and said its not feasible to shift the connection.


After few more days a call from Bhopal follow up office(07554075189) came and they said the same words that the number cant be shifted and asked if I want to keep this number active. I asked them to close the number as the connection cant be shifted.


After this I still received a bill next month. I talked to customer care and they assured me to not to worry about it and I don’t have to pay anything. I got another bill in January but I didnt cared.


Today, I received a call from some person forcing me to pay the outstanding amount of 1800 approx for 2 months (which I never used). I told him to check their systems as I the connection was never shifted and your Bhopal office had already noted to close the number.


I called to their Appellate and explained them the matter. They apologized and said to me its a mistake on their part and asked me to lodge a "connection cancellation request and unused billing request" at 0755-4444121as they are the Appellate so they cant do the same by themselves.


I called them and their support personnel checked and said me there is already a connection closing request lodged(as the shifting was not possible). So he registered a fresh complaint regarding "delay in connection cancellation and wrong billing" and gave me another reference number and assured me I don’t have to do anything and the billed amount will be waived and connection will be closed.


I wasted my 70-80 rs in telephone calls. I am really irritated and bugged by these fraudsters and liars. Save yourself from headache and frustration and avoid their BB and Fixed line service.


Update-20/01/2012


I again received a call from 9893023208 asking me to pay 2 month bill. I explained to him I have already lodged a request to terminate the connection and waive the bill 2 month ago and also 2 days ago. It’s not my fault if you can’t close the connection and keep billing me.
