Airtel broadband cheated me with advance payment.

I live in Gurgaon and had taken up an Airtel Broadband connection. The plan was for 11GB a month and we had paid close to Rs 6, 000 as advance for six months. After three and a half months of usage, me and my friends decided to switch to the 80GB plan per month.


On calling Airtel, a particular sales rep by the name of Mr Sandeep assured me that the balance would be adjusted and the plan would be changed.


Next month however, I got the bill for without any compensation for the previous amount I had payed(since the 80 GB plan cost 1, 800 and the 11GB plan cost close to Rs 1, 000, the bill should have been close to Rs 1, 000, but it was Rs 1800).


On calling the customer care, they told me that once you change the plan your entire previous amount that has been paid is forfeit and you need to pay the full amount. I told them that their sales rep had informed that the amount would be adjusted, a truth that the guy on the other side refused to accept. He said that the total loss we were incurring was Rs 2700 and he could waiver off Rs 500.


On complaining and threatening to go to consumer court, the person on the other side told me "Aap chahe to supreme court chale jao."(You can go to supreme court if you want). These people think we customers are idiots.
