I have been using Airtel broadband since last 6 months in Bangalore area. Initially, I opted for 2 Mbps connection (Rs 1050) but later shifted to 4 Mbps (Rs.1150). Since month 1, there has always been issues with speed. Airtel provides the promised speed nearly 20 days a month according to my experience and perhaps because I fought for it calling up customer care whose service I tell you was nothing less than a noisy fish market.
The agents there take requests not complaints and later I spoke to supervisors who are available after an eternal hold, who will tell me on the face that I never placed a complaint. Well, that is because the agents I spoke to understood me as though I am nothing more than vagabond who sought something but not asked for a resolution.
If that is not enough, I am promised of permanent solution which is always as momentary as over a week. The problem with allotted speed creeps in, and the faulty promises carry on. When technical people step in, they give no explanation but switch off and on the modem several times, do trouble shoot, make some calls, and when they leave, the speed is back to the promised bandwidth.
With their back on my door, the speed however drops... the same routine continues weeks, months, and years. End of day, we are the losers. Airtel simply robs with its hype of being number one network provider. It is a robbery right before our eyes and one probably with our consent too.
Folks, I seriously do not recommend Airtel. I dont know about the rest, but u are far better off without Airtel broadband. It is no joke. It is a sincere warning of perils you will undergo with Airtel.
