For the amounts they charge its very slow and speed fluctuates a lot(Mostly slow). Make browsing or using social media even slower. When you exhaust the data, the connection will be slow to a crawl(will take you back to stone age speeds). When they say its a 715 package, beware it does not include other charges like service tax, other taxs. The amount shoots upto 840 per month.
One more thing they will not provide you the phone which they say they would(this connection has disturbance in it). Airtel says to check the land phone we are using. But after using various land phones their rep himself confirmed there is a disturbance in the line. Never got rectified.
They will not update you regarding reduced prices and higher band width packages.
When you ask, airtel customer rep will say upgrade is free. And when you upgrade they will charge you more on the name of new modem(twice the modems market valve), which would be useless modem with very less wifi coverage with frequent disconnection and fluctuating speeds(Mostly slow). Its only shows good speed on(ookla) speed test(their agreement I guess). Other speed test services will show you the actual speed slow speed. Plus they will still be charging you your phone connection charges of rupees(99).
So, now when you upgrade, New modem(cheep modem) price(500 or more+ tax), your old modem with airtel is useless now(keep it, they say) and 99 your phone package(99+ taxs) from previous airtel connection before upgrade(you have to call airtel to deactivate this package, how bad is that) and then remaining amount(previous+ tax(including the phone pakage(99+ taxs) and 700(+ taxs) will give you a heart ache bill. By the time you call airtel and get this rectified(which they will not) you are overdue(over due amount+ tax). Put all together(+taxs). What happen to the installation charges(Taken for first time, before the upgrade). Shame on airtel.
Bottom line for the above is "Upgrade to new package is not free and useless".
When you complain about the slow speed(new upgrade). Their rep will play time and ask you all the details and simply answers "you are viewing unsafe websites(my office site)" which makes my net speed slow. Airtel customer care will say "we will get this rectified" and a lot of people start calling you in odd hours(from Airtel) and will start asking you the same questions from the start.
No one will rectify anything and if by chance while in office(working) not answer their calls, you will get a message that the issue(ticket) is closed. Then speed is good for two days and again the same problem no proper speed. You dont feel like you have upgraded anything. Its the same slow(fluctuating speed).
When you cancel, they will not refund your installation charges(old or upgraded one). Airtel will tell you keep the modems(cheep, overpriced and useless) with you only.
YOU WILL ONLY FEEL LIKE YOU GETTING CHEATED BY AIRTEL(WHICH IS TRUE).
Shifting to Act Fiber now(recommended by friends). Very less to pay with higher bandwidth and package(no fluctuating speeds). Bad customer service or not. You will at least not get cheated or fooled for the amount you pay.
