We had airtel for around 8 months , it never gave a problem, I should give them credit for that.
Now about the problems
At the time of installation , the man who came was clearly incompetent. He took 6 days to install it and could do it at a corner of our house where its a pain to sit for a long time.
Whenever we called them up for a change of plan, they will take a complaint and would not call. On calling them again they will say its not possible at my location. Whereas at the time of installation they said any plan is possible.
Now the real thing, we bought a tata photon in December, so that we can move around in the house, so we requested airtel to stop services. they stopped but sent us a mail after a week that our service has been resumed ( without our requesting them). What they did was resume the phone services , not the net. and they slapped us the whole bill for that month of january.
That photon was a nightmare, about which I have written a review. So we requested airtel at the end of january to resume full service and cancel the january bill. They took our request and it has been 20 days, they call us everyday and tell us something different, someday they say they need our residence proof again, someday they say that our complaint is going to take another 3 days and somedays they tell us that our complaint is for cancellation only so they are lodging a fresh complaint.
We talked to their floor manager Mr. Shiva on 14th. He said he will take care of it personally. Then in his infinite wisdom went ahead and filed a request for Cancellation. What a bunch of !!!!!!!
What is there to say. Its like banging our head against a soft, cushioned wall. They talk nicely and politely but dont get the thing done at all. They never gave us any problem but the moment we had to talk to the customer support, we faced some unbelievably stupid people.
I wish they get their support system right, but till then we can not recommend this servive to anyone
