Initially I took the Airtel about one year back, I got the connection at my house in JP nagar locality of Bangalore, Sales Executive promised me discounted calls to any three telephone numbers as well.
With in two days Installation completed, modem installed, as done. well and good. I called customer care to enquire about my free call offer, they said my connection does not come under that.? . I got frustrated and registred a complaint with them, my executive called back and informed my connection was not under that scheme, he refused that he give me connection with that offer, my bad . I am the losser. As I required the connection I ignored it.But I am actually cheated.
Once connected, connection was smooth and was always on, I do not experience a single down time and always I used to get the promised speed in the connection.
After one year as I was planning to shift to new location at muneshwar nagar, I called the customer care and requested for transfer of the connection. They accepted and give me a ticket no:. One week later one of the executives called and told me that there is no feasibility at my location and they cannot give me new connection. So I requested the customer care to cancel my connection by that month end, they agreed.
I shifted to new location and was hunting for new connection, I noticed that my old connection is still active and Airtel gave me monthly bill for next month also which I was not using. I called the customer care and started a very long fight for at least two weeks to settle this issue. I spend nearly two hours everyday talking to Airtel executives explaning the issues but Nobody was willing to help me and understand my issues. Finally I send a mail to the senior manager to get this issue resolved. It was like a government department nobody has clue to whom I should speak. True hell!
After two month of shifting to new location, Airtel put a new cable to our location and gave me new connection. First day everything was well and good, very next day my connection was cut! Why.?
I called customer care.no clue!
I got only one answer "sorry sir, sales dept has cancelled your connection"
Again I started my struggle, calling customer every day speaking to every department daily, finally got the issue, They had blocked my new account because there was some amount due in my old account. They were asking me to clear that first. why? The old account was transfered to some other person immediately after I was shifted and was given to other person and he was using it.
I took nearly one week for me to convince the Airtel people about the issue and finally they come to terms, all was because of my old idiot executive did not update the details of the first connection once I was shifted and he transferred the connection to new person without changing my details.simply stupid. So according to the Airtel records I am still holding that account.
I lost one month because of this simple issue, that is because of the non responsive behaviour of the executive
Finally Issues were resolved because of my good contacts in Airtel Technical Department.
So far so good, I got the connection back, things are cool.
The connectivity is back to normal, always on, almost no down times and got the promised speed as usual.
Now due to construction going on near to my house the cable is getting cut frequently, I used to register a complaint with customer care and with in hours the issues are getting resolved.nice work guys. they are doing good work. So now I am happy . happy till I move to new location atleast.
