Airtel customer service is terribly pathetic

I got a new airtel broadband connection(512 kbps)  2.5 months back and now want to upgrade to a higher speed.


This simple transition is proving to be nightmarish experience with the incompetent airtel customer service. I have been calling them for last 2-3 weeks; everytime I get a new customer service representative who does nothing more than opening a new service request. After going through this drudgery for almost 2-3 weeks now, when I called up this morning to follow-up on my last request for upgrade, I was told that it was cancelled due to feasibility test showing the speed not available in my neighborhood (please note that this is Bangalore main area and not some remote place).


Now after this when I asked the customer service rep to tell me the max speed available in my neighborhood based on the feasibility test already done (as I was told), she again opened a NEW request and told me that they’ll do a feasibility test in my area and resolve this NEW request by 21st Jan.


With this experience, can’t believe that I am living in IT hub like Bangalore and dealing with so called good ISP like Bharti Airtel. I am highly disappointed with my experience with airtel so far and wanted to share it.
