Whoa, what an amazing service. Just do not have words to write.I have waited for 2 full years to get a Airtel internet connection, in hindsight I feel the wait has been worth it.
In those days of 2006 I had asked these guys for a connection near Basaveshwarnagar Bangalore, but they replied that it wasn’t available and I need to wait for some time before I get it. Oh God they made me wait for 2 full years and I have no reasons to complain since these guys are splendid.
I applied in the month of may and got the connection in 7 days flat with the instrument and the modem. I am on a Rs 799, 256 kbps unlimited connection for the past 8 months and I have not come across a single minute of downtime. I use the connection everyday for about 3-4 hours everyday and 8-10 hours during weekends; and I am serious when I say not even a single minute of downtime.
The service is very efficient to the extent that they send you a SMS when they have their routine servicing of the line. This goes on for about 1/2 an hour during which time the line will be down, it happens only once in 2-3 months. So full marks for keeping us informed.
In this 8 months I have come across ’slow connection’ for a couple of times and the customer care guys have responded in a very efficient way and solved it within 24 hours. When I say slow connection, it is not exactly slow, it is slower then usual.
The thing that I like about Airtel Internet is that they wont promise you a connection even if there is a line next to your home. They check on the number of ports available on the router and junction, if it is full they will let you know the obvious. That is great because in the name of new business they are not going to let down the existing customers.
The reason why I have such high regards for Airtel is that before this I have used SIFY, RELIANCE WIMAX and TATA INDICOMM connection; I was so disgusted of using there service that I had decided that no more internet connection for me. Thank God there was Airtel around. If you are in Bangalore this is the best you will get and I have not even a single bad thing to tell about these guys. TOUCH WOOD!!
