I moved to bangalore couple of months back. Opted for airtel broadband because of its "reputed name". Seems like airtel is taking way too much liberty pertaining to its image in the market. Had the worst experience with airtel broadband. Had applied for a new connection about a month back. After going through some daily calling and persuasions got our request approved. However, this was not to be the end of the harrasments by airtel executives.
After waiting for a week, called the authority to enquire about the connection, to which he said it may take 1 or 2 days more. Now, that was around 20 days back. Every day we called, we were told to wait for 2 more days. Even so that sometimes he said a perso would come today for installation. I dont know what today means in their dictionary because that person hasnt showed up till date.
Now its been a month and the person has even stopped taking our calls. Howmuchever we call him(sometimes 15 calls per day) he doesnt answer. Try from a different phone n he says maam call tomorrow at 10 and hang up.
It amazes me what kind of customer service does airtel have. How long does it take to get a connection approved and installed. I am seriously thinking about filing a complaint in the consumer court. I would recommend everyone to take any other broadband connection but airtel. They’ll make you cry till death for a simple broadband!
