Pathetic technical support

It is with great difficulty I am writing this review, because it took me almost half an hour to reach this page with my lousy AIRTEL broadband connection. Like we don’t have enough to put up with - power cuts (was 2 hours everyday), it has reduced now, thanks to some windmills installed by some businessmen with foresight and vision), road diggings, cable cuts and now finally it has come to pathetic Internet connection.


For the past 1 month I was literally begging AIRTEL customer care to cut my connection so that I can move on to something else. But every time, the person at the other end convinced me that it was the last time and my problem would be rectified. Alas, the technician in my area seems to be fiddling or AIRTEL is not giving me a clear picture on what is going on. My connection has been pathetic. Worse is the promises they give about it being set alright.


As long as it works well, it works well - once you start having problems, there is no resolution to it. I have had an AIRTEL connection in another area where I lived previously for 4 years with no problem, but for the past 2 years after having moved to another area, its just one call after another - to set things right. Out here, I sometimes wonder how cabled internet works - it is a miracle, considering how messy things are below the ground - sewage, so many cables running across, and every other month someone is digging the roads.


My last resort is to go for wireless internet, at least there will be no cut cables, neither do we have to depend on an indifferent technician to set it right.


AIRTEL, are you reading this, or busy with strategies to increase your reach with even more pathetic technical service???
