These guys are cheats! Their customer service is the worst Ive encountered so far; that includes everyone from the moron on the toll free number to the appellate officer. There is no communication whatsoever between their departments. The only department that works is their collections department after the other morons inform them that a customer has some outstanding amount due. Then you will promptly get threatening letters and people knocking on your door.
Do not deal with Airtel for any service. They duped me of Rs.5000 and slapped me with a huge bill approximately Rs.2500 which is on account of an error by them, and they are now threatening legal action, in spite of several attempts over 3-4 months to reach out to their customer support to resolve the issue.
I paid about Rs.5000 total(Rs.3400 for the 3G USB modem which cannot be used on any other network, Rs.500 for activation and Rs.1000 for usage) for a little over one month of data service, on a plan for Rs.599 per month unlimited download in Mumbai. I had to terminate because they could not fix a billing problem and would keep disconnecting my connection according to their whims.
Absolutely the worst service and treatment of customers I have ever experienced from a service provider.
If things are setup correctly, it might work. But if theres anything in your initial setup of account that needs attention from their customer service, then God help you.
