My Subscription number is 3005686748 and I have been using Airtel HD DTH since November 2010. During the warranty period of 12 months itself the settopbox was changed 2 times because of problem with settopbox. Then just after 1 year was over i.e. Nov 2011, the settopbox again gave the same problem and it was replaced by Airtel after I paid Rs 750 for a NEW Settopbox.
Now the catch is NEW. NEW Settopbox by airtel means an old repaired Settopbox. It only provides you a new Settopbox when you take the connection. After that they never provides you a new STB.OLD Setbox is provided on name of new STB and Rs 750 is charged for it.And this so called NEW Settopbox has a warranty of 3 months
In case the so called Settopbox works fine, I would have been happy.It is now March 2012 and the so called NEW Settopbox has stopped working. When I complained on customer care, they are saying that you will have to pay Rs 750 again for a NEW Settopbox because warranty is only for 3 months.
Is customer a fool that he will keep paying Rs 750 after every 3 months for a faulty Settopbox which will stop working just after 3 months? I havent seen a worst service provider.While I was in Hyderabad 1.5 years back, I used Tata Sky for 2 years and I never faced any issue.
I will never ever use Airtel DTH again as well as wont recommend anyone to use it.Period!
Please disconnect my Airtel DTH connection and refund the balance in my account. It is a big pain using Airtel DTH. Airtel say that package is cheaper than other DTH providers. But Airtel is fooling their customers.
